Kristin Painter

Biography:

I am a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Environment and Sustainability at the University of Saskatchewan. 

Education:

MSc, University of Saskatchewan, Toxicology

PhD, University of Western Ontario, Geography

Research Area:

I am a freshwater ecologist and biogeochemist 

Research Interests:

I am interested in land-to-lake linkages and the transport, fate, and impact of anthropogenic nutrients and contaminants in freshwater ecosystems. I am currently investigating ecological and biogeochemical drivers of cyanobacterial bloom phenology as part of the Global Water Futures FORMBLOOM project.
