I am a limnologist, biogeochemist, and marine ecologist. My career goal as a woman in science is to understand environmental and socio-economic issues affecting water quality, and use scientific research to find practical solutions and inform environmental policy for the long-term sustainability of freshwater resources.
Ph.D. in Environment & Sustainability, School of Environment & Sustainability and the Global Institute for Water Security, University of Saskatchewan
M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences, Natural, Pure & Applied Science Department, Northern Caribbean University, 2014
B.Sc. in Environmental Biology, Pure & Applied Science Department, University of the West Indies (Mona Campus), 2008
As a Ph.D. candidate, my research focuses on understanding the factors influencing internal phosphorus loading and assessing the importance of sediment processes to the water quality of Canadian lakes. My research ues several research methods, including sediment core incubations, sequential fractionation and phosphorus-31 nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.
